Diana was a lovely host who made us a great dinner and breakfast. She was also available to give us transfers to and from the national park and was easy to contact. The beds are comfortable and facilities are as described in booking. We only needed to stay one night but would happily have stayed longer if needed.

Located by the river bank ( with a small jetty) , this property is picturesque. Views of the mountain is spectacular during sunrise. Loving the pool ( opens 24/7) , the cafeteria ( serves delicious food), the breakfast, and most of all excellent hospitality ( manager is very knowledgable about the surroundings, drivers are courteous and professional). Aside from airport transfers, property also provides transfers to the National Park. Coupled with the staff service level ( always above and beyond), this is a charming property with ‘delectable’ local experience.

Very good location, nice crew, comfortable bed. Breakfast included. You can buy other meals and drinks. They can do laundry for fair price. 10-12 minutes to Park HQ. Very close to the airport. One of the gates to the best part of Borneo which is the best part of Malaysia.

Amazing place and family. The room and all the house are very clean. It's located just opposite the airport (but no worries there are just few flights during the day, so they don't bother at all). Food was also delicious. Many thanks Denny and Salina it was a pleasure staying at your place :-)

We had a wonderful stay with Dina and Robert at D'Cave Homestay. There are a few different room options to choose from—basic private rooms with fans, private rooms with air conditioning, family AC room with attached bathroom, and even a five-bed AC dorm. The communal bathrooms have 2 toilets and 2 cold water showers, but everything was kept very clean. The beds were super comfy and bedding and towels are spotless white—exactly that we needed after the tough Mulu Pinnacles hike. Breakfast is included and changes daily. We had pancakes, fried noodles, fried rice, and one morning even got to try amazing local-style donuts filled with pandan custard. Coffee and tea are available all day for self-service, and there’s free boiled drinking water to refill your bottles. If you're lucky, Dina sometimes offers to cook dinner—it’s just RM25 per person and totally worth it! Robert used to be a cave guide and knows the park inside out. They also arrange transport for bespoke local trips of the area. The homestay is in a perfect spot—just a 10-minute walk from the park entrance and about the same distance to the airport. Airport pickup can be arranged for 5RM per person too.

This review is based on the situations in a remote place like Mulu. The stay was good. It's about 1-1.5 km from Mulu national park and airport, so it's in walkable location. The host Helena and Shania was supportive. The room had 3 single beds. Initially I thought it would be a dormitory type of stay. But they have multiple rooms. It is a budget homestay. They prepare dinner and lunch is you ask for. Prices are at par with Mulu park restaurant.

Each cave is different from another and rides to get to them on the long boats added interest and anticipation of what we would find. The Park is very organised with some guides offering more information than others. We are in our 60s, and were able to cover 3 cave excursions in the one and a half days we were there...unforgettable!

Great place to come for a jungle / caving experience. Only requires basic fitness and moderate mobility to visit most of the show features. More strenuous/ adventurous options also exist for those who are interested/ daring!

river boat ride to the amazing caves. dont miss the bat flight. lots of walking in the mulu national park. office staff, guides are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. mulu has only 300 houses. there is no town. so the only attraction is the mulu national park, mariott hotel and homestays, cafes ( which are opened occasionally) if you want adventure, time with nature , quiet, astounding sites of caves and sheer size...come to Mulu. oh yes attractive pricing

Caves are awesome and well maintained for tourists with out much disturbance for nature Always give priority to Wind and Clear water caves as this tour is depending on weather It’s a rain forest , overnight heavy rain may stop the tour for next day as tourists have to move by boat . keep a rain coat unless you like to get drenched. Be prepared to swim in clear water cave
