i went as a solo female backpacker, i love a good party, i love the beach and i love good food! and i had all!! its actually just paradise on earth. theres only 2 bars so youll meet everyone, there is also a little walk you can do to get to the otherside to have dinner and watch the sunset which is really fun. the restraunts have really yummy and reasonably priced food. I reccomend getting cash out before you go and stocking up on sunscreen, cigarettes, aloe vera and water before you go because the little shops there are expensive due to the importation efforts. you absolutely MUST do day tours as well, the sights are unmatched and super cheap, there is tour vendors all over the beach you wont have a hard time organsiing anything. also youll most likely find the love of your life there but dont hold me to that. if you want to go diving or get your diving license this is also the place as packages are super cheap and often include accomodation and food.

Some great beaches with crystal clear waters. . i would recommend staying at long beach or coral beach on the smaller island. Rather than the fisherman's village. Boat trip to Redang - all day but worth the 150 MYR

The nature and the sea life was wonderful.

The nature and the sea life was wonderful. The bad thing is you always have to hire a taxi boat or you have to take a tour to travel in the islands. You always have to bargain and never believe what was written on the boards. Swimming with the sharks and sea turtles were wonderful. Snorkeling tour is a must see in the island. Coral life is very exciting.

    Beaches and snorkeling were excellent.

Beaches and snorkeling were excellent. Paths through jungle from beach to beach in need of repair. Allot of areas in need of repair . People friendly and helpful. If looking for quiet place with plenty diving / snorkeling good but for sole traveller many activities and taxis have minimum number eg water taxis minimum 2 or pay double.

A very secluded and very beautiful island.

A very secluded and very beautiful island. Whilst I wouldn't suggest going in the off season, it's still great and super super relaxing as well as beautiful. Perhentian has a lot of different beaches and alot if hiking opportunities

We stayed in BIG ISLAND which is a perfect choice.

We stayed in BIG ISLAND which is a perfect choice. We also went to the SMALL ISLAND, CORAL BAY and LONG BEACH but the beach and sand are not as beautiful as the BIG ISLAND. Those beaches or islands are rocky and too crowded... BIG ISLAND is so beautiful, no words can explain or describe it. You can also see coral reefs, fish and small sharks if you walk to KK BEACH... Again, if you wanna go to Perhentian, choose BIG ISLAND.

Chalet facing sea, nice place to calm your mind. In front chalet can snorkeling as the water as cleared as glass, you can enjoy the scenery with fish and coral. Near perkampungan nelayan and can have lunch and dinner at there with reasonable price. On the 2nd day only we aware we stay nearby the Perkampungan Nelayan 😅😅 can just take the snorkelling package from the chalet as the price same with other place. Thanks to the Abe Hamid, our boat driver that teach and show us how to see turtle and baby shark. Kudos to him

The stay at the hotel has been magnificent. I believe it has been the best hotel on the entire island, and in my opinion, the best part was the service — the people. From the attention at the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was wonderful. The rooms were incredible, and the breakfast was unbeatable. I would totally recommend it and would definitely come back.

Wow this place is worth the trip, amazing hotel and facilities. Note most people are here for the water activities. Tip get half or full board well worth it and great value a 3 courses per meal. Get a high up sunset villa for privacy. Great kids activities too. They have sorted the buggy issue too , so easy to get one.

Loads of activities in the area. My daughter and I enjoyed kayaking to beaches around and then snorkeling. Also the spa connected to the hotel was clean and had a good service.
