Lovely city close to Schiphool. Lots of nice walking paths around. I love the Seringenpark and windmill in Stommeermolen. Then, you just have to visit the Flower auction Aalsmeer. Aalsmeer is close to Amsterdam to get in easily, but far...
Aalsmeer is close to Amsterdam to get in easily, but far enough away that the city does not swamp you. It is close to Amsterdam Bos, which is a massive park, filled with cycle paths. There is shopping and excellent cafes and restaurants. Close by also, is Amstelveen, and I can recommend Colijn restaurant, which is simply amazing. The tram into the Amsterdam is frequent and fast, or you can use RAI park and ride which we used several times because of the simplicity and cost. If you have a car, reaching places like Naarden and Utrecht is straightforward (and both recommended). There is so much historic and modern Netherlands within easy reach of Aalsmeer I can strongly recommend staying here.Guest review byIainUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We ordered the meat platter for 2 times 2 and that was amazing. A bit on the expensive side but well worth it.. 235 with a wine bottle for 5 adults...
