Everything was amazing. The environment is clean, comfortable, peaceful and beautiful. If you wish to relax and be at peace, it’s a perfect place to stay, even if the hotel is next to a busy road leading towards Amsterdam. You have a restaurant to eat breakfast and dinner, so you absolutely do not have to go out if you do not wish. With public transport you can easily go both directions to Zaandam centre and Amsterdam.

    Zaandam is a little away from the center of Amsterdam but...

    Zaandam is a little away from the center of Amsterdam but there is a train station within walking distance, though no subway system out there. There is a pedestrian shopping area with eateries and grocery stores, etc. It is a quieter area to stay than the main city center. Train fares are a bit more expensive than other EU countries but are regular and on time. Most of the eateries in this area were Turkish and similar, and delicious.

    Zaandam is ok, it feels safe and looks nice.

    Zaandam is ok, it feels safe and looks nice. Our stay really started on a Sunday and nothing was open, bear this in mind if you stay at EasyHotel as there is nothing there either. Rail service is excellent and we had a super day at Zaanse schans.

    The hotel was wonderful the staff too was kind & helpful supermarket right opposite the hotel & the train station to n from schiphol airport only abt 20 mins that’s great I love it and the sightseeing is good

    I was only there for one night, a guest at an event that...

    I was only there for one night, a guest at an event that took up most of my afternoon and evening. The stormy weather (5 August) wasn't ideal for spending time outdoors! However, on my previous trip in 2016, I visited Zaanse Schans: highly recommended for everyone.

    Despite being a small town, the train infrastructure is excellent, with a direct train from the airport to Zandaam. The charming alley of shops and cosy cafes further enhance the appeal of this delightful place.

    A great small city with amazing history and interesting...

    A great small city with amazing history and interesting architecture. A centre of the international maritime trade in cocoa and other items that made the Dutch Republic wealthy. And the religious history is fascinating as well. A quick train ride to Amsterdam .

    The staff were extremely welcoming and happy to help whenever we had questions. They were extremely polite and always smiled and greeted us whenever we were leaving and coming back. The location was extremely easy to get to by bus although we had to get a Amsterdam and Region travel ticket as it is outside of the inner city area in Zaandam. However, the bus comes quite frequently and is an extremely quick trip to the hotel- especially Zaanse Schans!!

    The obvious attraction is the unique building but the hotel is also attractive inside too. Modern, comfortable rooms and gym/pool/sauna are free to use. Super friendly staff and good value compared with similar in Amsterdam. Great choice at buffet breakfast, a more limited menu for evening but there are lots of eating places in Zaandam, within a few minutes walk. Situated near the train and bus stations.

    A beautiful hotel in the lovely Zaandam area of Amsterdam. It is right beside the train station but we weren’t aware of any train noise in the room. Trains were frequent into the city. Check in was easy. The bedrooms were lovely and the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was amazing with an incredible shower. They also have UK and US plug sockets in the rooms.

    Much cheaper alternative than staying in Amsterdam, Zaandam is quite a nice town and only 2 stops on the train from central Amsterdam. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice. Hotel is next to some nice cafes and restaurants and a nice shopping centre.
