A great way to preserve a building with a rich history with rooms having a educational theme. The ambiance is very relaxed and modern with a fishpond in the central hallway and rooms have ample light from the large windows. This is a quiet area for uninterrupted sleep and the rooms are very spacious. One of the rooms is converted to the breakfast room and it had a good variety and quality of choices. The owners take great care in the comfort of their guests; this unique hotel has been one of our best stays over the last 20 years. Ample parking space around the hotel.

We were looking for accommodation on the way between Keukenhof-garden and De Haar Palace. This was a brilliant place, perfect house for 2 couples. Garden, privacy - great! it's a pity we only stayed one night. Nice host who waited for our late arrival!

Everything.Lovely setting, open double doors to the lovely garden. Full of birds. Quiet and peaceful. Small community in countryside. Perfect to unwind. Need a car or bike to get around. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent breakfast. Hosts Ottillia and John, were really wonderful.

This is a gem,a little self-contained house. Although it looks old it is a new house built mainly with traditional materials- heavy timbers, oak boards and planks,straw bales and a boarded and thatched roof.The house is designed on a traditional building with a hayloft, the roof would have moved on the large upright posts sticking out of the thatch to accommodate the hay. Downstairs is a large air-conditioned lounge/ diner with kitchen facilities including a fridge. There is a beautiful large shower room and washbasin with hairdryer and a separate toilet. Upstairs is a large bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a daybed. The stairs are quite steep but my 78 year old husband managed them. Breakfast is delivered through a hatch next to the front door ( so you don’t have to unlock the front door). Our tray had a large chunk of Gouda cheese from a local farm,slices of ham,butter,delicious crusty bread rolls, crisp-bread ,fresh sliced strawberries and fresh orange juice. There were eggs,milk, yogurts,and jam and sprinkles ( a Dutch addition to toast for breakfast)in the fridge. There was a coffee machine, toaster,an electric kettle and an egg boiling machine. Coffee, herbal and fruit teabags and sugar were also provided. Outside the patio doors there were chairs to sit and enjoy the garden and watch the sunset. Plenty of parking spaces to the side of the property. The local village has a castle,a church,several restaurants,bars and a pizzeria. There is lots of local tourist information in a folder and board games to play. There is good WiFi. We loved our stay here, and we will return.

    Suzanne & Rob’s apartment is really nice. Great location in the city centre, clean and nicely decorated. I felt at home while visiting Zaltbommel and would definitely come back. They are great hosts that constantly made sure everything went smoothly, delivering fresh towels, and even lending me a bike to explore around. I would recommend for anyone to stay there!
