An eclectic interior that mixes both modern clean Scandinavian look and old wooden elements. Top-notch breakfast, big choice of dishes for everyone, including lactose and gluten free options. And a pretty decent coffee that you can take away, this is good especially on sunny days, because the breakfast cafe has a big outside are with sea view. It is located basically at the city center, so you can explore everything on foot. All fjord marine sightseeing activities are also located nearby.

Alesund is a stunning town and Hotel Brosundet is right in the heart of it. The building exterior is gorgeous and matched by the lobby and rooms. Be sure to make a reservation at the restaurant in advance! We ate in the cafe and still had a lovely dinner, then stopped by the on-site bar for delicious cocktails. Overall it was an excellent location, clean and modern rooms, and all the amenities needed.
