I stopped in Oppdal by train from Kongsvold.
I stopped in Oppdal by train from Kongsvold. I was on my way to Trondheim doing the pilgrimage of St. Olav's Way. Oppdal is this small town that has a lot of charm. I was able to walk around town for a little bit. There are sidewalks throughout town that allow you to get all over the place. Transportation - There is a train that can take you north to Trondheim. There's also a bus if you need to go to Berkåk. This makes it easy to get around. There's even a taxi service by the name of Trønder Taxi AS that you can use to get around. Warning - taxis are pretty pricey in Norway and I would recommend using public transportation if you can. Download Vy app to check times and buy any tickets you may need. I ended up eating at Burger King in Oppdal(I know, very American of me). I wanted to have something quick to eat. Beautiful view from the veranda and windows. You can see the mountain and littler plateau mountain of Oppdal on the other side on which I hiked that one monday evening and was impressed and amused somehow because I met on the way up and on the way down so many locals who obviously did their evening sports.Guest review byTugbaGermany
