One of the most memorable stays in a hotel of my life, from the wonderful, attentive staff who did everything they could to make our stay so special, to the great healthy meals in the restaurant and of course that amazing location. The view from the upstairs room was just stunning, I only wish we could had of stayed longer!

This hotel is in a quiet district of Spjelkavik, less than 15 minutes’ drive from Ålesund. It offers a free evening buffet Monday-Thursday as well as free WiFi and parking.

Very nice studio apartment in a suburb of Ålesund (15 minutes by car from the center). It’s true what they mention about the bed not being a typical double, but the two of us slept without any problem. Otherwise, it’s clean, has a fully equipped kitchen, and a nice view of the garden (which you also have access to). The entrance is through the garage, but that’s perfectly fine. Very good value for money.

It was a wonderful, beautifully furnished and very cosy cottage. Its name, which means 'my cottage' in Norwegian, was absolutely fitting — you felt right at home here. It has all the necessary equipment, including a washing machine, barbecue, board games, maps and much more besides. Although it looks small from the outside, appearances can be deceiving — it's actually large with three bedrooms and plenty of extra space. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The owners was very nice and gave us tips on where to swim and go on trips.

If I could rate this place 13 out of 10, I would. It exceeded our expectations with all the little touches and generous, thoughtful things and amenities provided. This is a WONDERFUL place to stay if you are visiting Alesund with your own transport on wheels. They provided netflix as well!
