    Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to...

    Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to explore it. Sunshine is a rarity. End of season mid August. Place for camper vans to park. One shop and one cafe. You can buy only beer in a shop, no alcohol. For a harder spirits you need to travel to Tromso. Bring your food if you can, shops sells very simple and not very good staff. More or less decent meal you can have in an arctic hotel, which is pricey and just ok, no more, choice is limited.

    I think the best thing we liked about this area is that you can see the Northern Lights from your window! The hotel provides you with a map to show you the best areas to see them and other things to do - but honestly there's not much. We walked by the pier & went on the hills - it was a clear sky so we got to see so many stars until Lady Aurora finally appeared! Other things we liked: -Clean & comfortable -Views from the hotel are breathtaking -Modern facilities -Great breakfast with some good options

    Lovingly decorated by the owner, with pictures from his travels in the arctic, and the lodge itself is designed with a ship’s interior in mind. Superb shared kitchen and kitchen area, and of course the view looking out to a quiet beach on Sommarøy. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at and I’m looking forward to my next visit.

    Everything was very nice and good. The staff was very helpful, the location is amazing and the room was very clean. The breakfast were absolutely delicious. This Hotel is highly recommened for those who wants to visit the beauty of Sommaroy :)
