Location is beautiful, in fact the whole island is stunning. The whole property is done to the highest specification and attention to detail, very clean, very comfortable and warm. The communal spirit is at the essence there, you meet travellers from all walks of life. The property owner, Oliver, is a well travelled, very knowledgeable and passionate man and to meet him was a great pleasure. We would definitely stay there again

Stunning location, peaceful & quiet. If you’re lucky enough on a clear day it’s perfect to see the northern lights. Extremely spacious apartment with all basic amenities included. Only advice would be is to rent a car from the airport which is easy & affordable as taxis cost a fortune to get to the city/ airport & public transportation is scarce.

    Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to...

    Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to explore it. Sunshine is a rarity. End of season mid August. Place for camper vans to park. One shop and one cafe. You can buy only beer in a shop, no alcohol. For a harder spirits you need to travel to Tromso. Bring your food if you can, shops sells very simple and not very good staff. More or less decent meal you can have in an arctic hotel, which is pricey and just ok, no more, choice is limited.

    Nice hotel directly by the shores of Sommarøy. The location is great, bus stop and parking nearby. The sauna is included and has a beautiful view and even more beautiful relaxing room. The restaurant also has a beautiful view and decent food. There are small gimmicks such as tea and coffee and breakfast was pretty good. We stayed for two nights which is a good amount of time on Sommarøy and hiked up Nordkollen in two different ways on both days.

    Lovingly decorated by the owner, with pictures from his travels in the arctic, and the lodge itself is designed with a ship’s interior in mind. Superb shared kitchen and kitchen area, and of course the view looking out to a quiet beach on Sommarøy. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at and I’m looking forward to my next visit.

    Clean, comfortable, modern hotel in a stunning, although off the beaten path, location. Good restaurant, adequate fitness room, and beautiful views from the deck. We were just passing through and weren't quite sure what to expect in this location but it is clearly a worthy destination spot.
