Great Location, very nice hosts. We used the small bist for fishing. The Host share Lots of Information about the area, hiking Spots, fishing spots etc. The House is cosy and offers everything you need. Out dog was welcome as well.

Gamle Fengselet Kulturhotell has unique historic charm and modern facilities. I have stayed at other hotels at Stord, but the personal attention and service at this hotel sets it apart from other hotels on this island. Despite my short stay, I got to know the owners of the hotel, Asle and Hannah, who are both prepared to go that extra mile to make sure their guests are looked after and get the service they deserve. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, with crisp and clean bedding. The bathroom was also spacious and it was well equipped, with classic but modern fittings. The breakfast, served in interesting "former prison" surroundings, was of good quality and plentiful, with a good choice of warm and cold dishes. The wi-fi was excellent too. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Stord, looking for a quiet but different stay in a clean and comfortable environment.

The cozy older house was exactly as described. Fantastic view, nice surroundings for hiking, a lovely spot on planet earth. We enjoyed our stay very much. Very recommendable if you would like to be somewhat on your own but still do not want to miss some comfort. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the whole old house was very well cleaned.

Newly renovated room and bathroom, esthetically pleasing. Amazing and resourceful owners, always making sure we had right experiences. Even going as far as compiling tailored recommendations and spending significant amount of time to make us welcome. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker and included pots. Clean private washing machine including detergent. Private parking in front of the apartment.
