There is plenty to do, we are active relaxers and had a wonderful time cycling and walking. The Gannet safari tour exceeded expectations. There are plenty of good restaurants and at least a couple of great ones, Mister D restaurant is our all-time favorite. We loved Napier!
We loved Napier! The safe and easy to ride bike tracks along the beach and the wineries made our stay - get an eBike! It was very easy to move around, and the city centre and the sculptures were beautiful. Great places to eat and drink, friendly people and the wineries were the cherry on top. It's just a shame that the beach is so pebbly and swimming isn't advised.Guest review byPatricia - 10

My husband was born there and we have visited before during Art Deco week . Didn’t stay at the masonic then but ate there . That was fabulous . Stayed this time at the masonic. Disappointed by the empty shops nearby . Prehaps like any coastal town , a bit disappointing in the winter. The art deco centre across the road had moved. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. There is a lounge and a deck that are free to be used at any time. Free parking is right outside. Ester and Tom have thought of absolutely everything and treat you more like family friends coming to stay, rather than hotel guests.
