Basic budget accommodation. Spacious, very clean , comfortable and convenient for our stay. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms clean with ample soft towels and soap and shampoo. Dereck and Katrina were absolutely amazing hosts.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Always super helpful , friendly and welcoming. It was a bit confusing finding the correct house as three were on the same driveway and the address on Booking.com was missing the A so I sat in front of the wrong house for 30 minutes waiting for someone to show up not knowing the owner was upstairs in the house at the end of the driveway. I asked several people on the driveway and the neighbours but no one seemed to know which house was the correct one. However it was a nice 2-bedroom place in a great location and very quiet. The bathroom had underfloor heating and a heated towel rack. I was a bit cold in the rest of the house and there was no central heating but the bed was extremely comfortable. There was no kitchen so we had to wash the dishes we used in the bathroom, but it is okay for an overnight stay.

    We really used Orewa as a base.

    We really used Orewa as a base. To travel around the area, over to Whangaparāoa and up to Matakana and Omaha. The beachcomber was perfect for this. It was all we needed with lovely bed and nice kitchenette and a nice big tv to watch the rugby on. The bathroom was good with a good shower. All we needed and wanted.

    Orewa is a small coastal town with a big heart.

    Orewa is a small coastal town with a big heart. There are loads of little shops and restaurants. The Sunday market was such a lovely surprise. There are also some of the best breakfast cafes. Can walk and cycle along the Estuary onto the beach.

    If you want to go to a place that makes you feel welcome,...

    If you want to go to a place that makes you feel welcome, then it Orewa is that place. If you need to feel safe where there is a sence of community, where people are friendly and happy then its Orewa.It's a go to happy place for me when i need a break or a change, that feeds my body, tucks me in at night and gives me peace and calm. That charges my batteries, resets me and gets me back on the right path until the next time. It's also a spiritual place.

    Beautiful seaside town.

    Beautiful seaside town. Beach is stunning, excellent for children. Big parks, markets on weekends. Supermarket is close. Plenty of eating options close by from takeaways to fine dining. Shopping mall just up the road at Silverdale. Bush walks and much much more.

    Our host was friedly and adviced us on the use of the washing machine and barbeque. Orewa and Red Beach are "beach resorts". Silverdale is just an Auckland suburb behind the beaches. For us the location was good, suitable distance from the North (Kerikeri, Waitangi, Russell) in our way to explore areas south from Auckland. The place is also close to shops including well stocked Woolworths for food.

    I booked an apartment which was clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was excellent - you can see for miles around - and the bed was super comfortable. I have to say, the staff member who checked us in was really friendly and hospitable. The hotel itself is as centrally located as you can get for Orewa. If I was to return to Orewa, I wouldn't stop in any other location.

    Very cozy, beautiful garden area and the homemade jams were a delight. We were travelling up North from Wellington and decided last minute to stop over and rest for the night so we booked this about a couple of hours away from Auckland and the place was ready when we arrived - the host was very welcoming and friendly.
