The hotel is in an old building which has been renovated carefully. They took care of every details during the renovation. It is located in the center of the small town just stone throw away from the river and railway station. As ithe rooms located in the back of the hotel are very close to the rails, it advisable to use some earplugs during night if you are a light sleeper. The breakfast is great with local products and fresh fruits. It is a real great value for money!

Great space to chill and relax: pool, bar area, restaurant with great local food and wine. Super friendly staff. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, we have been travelling in Portugal for a bit and this was by far the best we had. There were lots of healthy options, including vegetables (which we really appreciate), but of course the typical pancakes, breads and such were available too.

This place is special! The staff was sweet and helpful (and great cake-makers). The building is spotless, and the view is one of the best I've ever stayed in anywhere. This was better than the 5-star place we stayed at for 3 x the price. OK, no restaurant, spa, etc, but when nature puts on this kind of show, it can't be beaten. The place was spotless.

I recently stayed at Sin Sexes Hotel in Douro, and it was an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape were absolutely stunning, making every moment feel like a dream. The bed was extremely comfortable, providing a perfect night's sleep, and the spa facilities were top-notch, offering a truly relaxing retreat.The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. Additionally, the proximity to local wineries was a fantastic bonus. The wines we tasted were exceptional, adding to the overall charm of our stay.The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests and ensure we had a pleasant stay.I highly recommend Sin Sexes Hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and serene getaway in Douro. Our stay on Residencial Douro was amazing. Suzana was a wonderful staff, always ready to help and super friendly. The room is fantastic, so big and with a wall between the double bed and the single bed. The balcony is huge and has an amazing view. The location was super as well, very close to the Rio Douro and easy for a nice walk through the river. The city center is ~10 / 15min away, what was very ok for a walk through the city. It's also a very safe place. I highly recommend this place
