The town was a nice quiet place outside of the hustle of the Algarve region, in particular Faro. We stayed there after arriving to get away from the crowds and just have a nice quiet evening in a small town where we could go for dinner, have a safe walk and just relax after a long flight. We traveled both east and west on very good roads. The hotel is located off the highway and is very quiet. The grounds are beautiful. The buildings date from 1932, but have been remodeled inside. The room was spacious, the bath very large and modern. The breakfasts were delicious, weather permitting served just outside our room. The kitchen is spacious, well equipped with gas oven making preparing meals easy-peasy. Bathroom and bedrooms are up to standards. Swimming pool was great experience especially for my young lad :) I was positively surprised to see maintenance guy around the property to keep swimming pool and surroundings clean. Car hire is an advantage but you can get around easily and quite cheaply using Uber if you don’t wish to hire a car. Lidl and Aldi are 5 minutes away by car.
