Burgau is a beautiful little town & the property has the convenience of being very close to the beach with wonderful restaurants right at the doorstep, we were able to ride push bikes to another beach & lay on the beach and live a slow pace for a few days

Great place, great atmosphere. Very nice interior, clean and well-kept. The view from the window is amazing. The spa is very friendly, clean, spacious. Everything was great. During our stay in Portugal we visited 5 hotels with 4-5* and this one was definitely our favorite. We will for sure come back here and we highly recommend it!

We spent eight wonderful vacation days at this magnificent hotel. With only 15 rooms, it always maintains a calm and pleasant atmosphere. Every morning, guests are treated to a rich breakfast buffet with both cold and hot dishes, various types of coffee, tea, and juice, as well as fresh bread and rolls. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors, depending on your preference. After breakfast, a spacious green area with indoor and outdoor pools and sun loungers invites you to relax. The rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms, generous windows, and balconies or terraces with sea views. In the evening, there is the option to enjoy an excellent dinner. The hotel is extremely clean, always smells pleasant, plays soft music, and has a well-functioning air conditioning system. This eco-friendly retreat offers its guests a unique and responsible experience in harmony with nature. After an interesting conversation with the hotel owner, we also talked about mass tourism and environmental protection. He explained to us that the hotel takes significant measures in the area of nature and environmental protection. The commitment to environmental protection is evident in all aspects of hotel operations. From the use of renewable energy to efficient waste management, the hotel minimizes its ecological footprint: Solar energy: The hotel uses solar panels for water heating and electricity generation, significantly reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources. Waste management: Strict waste management with recycling and composting programs is implemented. Guests are encouraged to participate in these sustainable practices. Water conservation: Efficient irrigation systems and the use of greywater for garden irrigation contribute to water conservation. Our conclusion: Hotel Vila Valverde is more than just a place to stay; it is an example of how luxury tourism and environmental protection can be harmoniously combined.

It's a lovely place, sunny and bright, very modern but warm and cosy at the same time.It's really well designed , I enjoyed all the subtle details of interior decoration.We also loved the spacious , amazing kitchen with everything you need for cooking.Our room was warm and there is a real super hot radiator in the bathroom - such a blessing in winter!!! Beautifully displayed and plentiful healthy buffet breakfast with lots of variety, so far the best in Portugal , if you are vegan they will also look after you on prior notice.Last but not least great customer service - thank you so much Vanessa for everything- you are the best ever!!!

    You do need to hire a car to get about , but well worth it .

    You do need to hire a car to get about , but well worth it . there are many lovely places to visit . Lagos is a great place to visit lots of shops and restaurants, it has a lovely harbour where you can book boat rides out to see the caves , well worth doing , Dolphin trips and fishing trips plenty to do Lagos also has some lovley beaches , well worth a visit . Praia De Luz a short distance from Burgau has a lovely beach and plenty of good Restaurants . If you have children then Zoo Marine is a great day out with Dolphin and Seal shows plenty of entertainment, rides and a waterpark we spent two days there , Water park gets very busy in the afternoon so we spent first day doing shows and rides and the second day we headed straight for the water park. plenty to do for all ages .

    This is a great part of Algarve to explore

    This is a great part of Algarve to explore It's a bit more wild and with a more local vibe then you may get nearer to Faro. The beaches are more wild as well, with rock cliffs and caves. The towns are smaller, though still can be a bit touristy in the high season. If you like sports like cycling or surfing then this is the part of Algarve to visit. The downside is that it seems the weather can be a bit more unpredictable, and is definitely more windy than closer to Faro.
