The breakfast was exceptionally made and the food varied from day to day which made each morning a little surprise! The staff was very forthcoming and friendly - the cook would always chat with us in the morning and even the owners passed by to introduce themselves. Everything was very personal and you could see and feel the love that is being poured into this hotel!

I stayed at this special and unique hotel - 3 nights. Just to thank and praise. The service approach - deserves all appreciation and praise. The hotel is so beautiful and tastefully decorated, starting from the special lobby, through the amazing sitting area, the bar and its inviting space. The bedroom is spacious, the bed is comfortable, there is a coffee corner. The breakfast is excellent! Every request is answered with a smile, professionally and immediately.     Its a small island formed from multiple volcano calderas.

    Its a small island formed from multiple volcano calderas. There are plenty of fantastic viewpoints. Its much less taken over by tourism than other bigger islands so you really feel authentic. Food and drink is very cheap and even excursions/trips are fairly affordable. Car hire etc has less choice than a bigger island. We hired a 125cc scooter which was a great way to explore the island. Many of the shops/bars speak English, but plenty of the locals do not. If you can learn a little Portuguese before you go it will definitely help.
