Love love love. The property is mind blowing Simple but so sophisticated. The pool, the restaurants, the grounds. Attention to detail and the personal touches so heartfelt. The village is a great place to stay at night. It's very calm and wonderful, especially at sunset. The room was small but we didn't need more. It had everything we needed. The equipment is modern. From the room, we had a nice view over the area surrunding Monsaraz. If you want to visit Monsaraz, you should plan to stay the night (at Casa Dona Antonia)

Beautiful quiet countryside location. Spacious bright clean rooms. Large shower with ample hot water. Breakfast included good food options. It was very chilly outside but the heater in the room allowed us to control the conditions. Staff turned down our beds while we were at dinner. When we returned we found they had also put hot water bottles under the covers to warm up. Nice touch!

It took longer to retrieve our rental car from Lisbon than we expected, and we stopped in Evora on our way to Monsaraz. We arrived late and left in the morning, leaving little time to explore. A full day is probably enough, which we intended to have but misjudged the time navigating the transportation. Driving through town was an adventure with the very narrow and steep streets. The restaurant was very traditional, and felt authentic. We would recommend a stop in this charming old town.

Monsaraz, more specifically the castle, is certainly a must...

Monsaraz, more specifically the castle, is certainly a must for anyone visiting Alentejo. The view is absolutely breathtaking, overseeing the Alqueva dam and the beautiful Alentejo. It's also quite rich in history, weaved into its quaint rocky streets and schist houses. Like its "big cousin" Marvão, the sunsets are particularly stunning. I know they aren't related, but they do feel similar ok? However, the citadel is not ideal for people with lower mobility or not ready to spend too much in the many tourist-focused restaurants. A couple hours should be enough for a tour, since it's not very big. The region itself do deserve some more time. Feel free to take a dip in Alqueva, do a hike in the countryside dotted by millennia old megalithic monuments or simply star gaze.

Have lunch at Xarez. The village is just beautiful. We visit to the Observatory was good too. The walk we attempted around the lake was slightly difficult as the paths were blocked presumably because of conservation issues.

If you enjoy tranquility and peace of mind then you cannot go wrong with this side of Alentejo. A little gem away from the coastal side, full of great bicycle rides, stargazing, delicious food and hospitable people

It's a beautiful area with different activities available. The village of Monsaraz is stunning, it has the Alqueva dam which is the largest artificial lake in Europe and Reguengos de Monsaraz is one of the best wine regions of Portugal.

We had an amazing stay! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, offering us fresh produce from their garden and even giving us homemade wine upon arrival, which was such a nice touch. They also gave great recommendations on places to visit and where to enjoy a delicious meal. The view from the house overlooking Monsaraz is simply breathtaking. The location is perfect—just a 6-minute drive to attractions like the beach, Monsaraz, and the megalithic stones. Highly recommended!

An ideal location if you just want to switch off from all the troubles in the world. Almost total silence except for the noises of nature. Marcia is a lovely friendly lady and nothing seems to be too much trouble. She makes sure your stay is as perfect as can be. The owner is a lovely friendly lady and it was our pleasure to stay for a few nights. We will definitely return. An ideal location with a wonderful view of Monsaraz Castle. 10/10

Location: It's inside the Monsaraz walls. Perfect setting for a romantic/medieval get away. Lots of history and plenty of amazing views just a few steps away from the hotel. Room: Big, comfortable bed. Plainly decorated. Balcony overlooking the surrounding plain. Toilet is on the narrow side but clean and nicely done. Breakfast was continental and good quality against price.

A lovely property within the walled town of beautiful Monsaraz. Stunning views from the rooftop terrace - a great spot for watching the sun set. The pool is small but a very welcome addition over the hot summer months. The room was small but comfortable, comfy bed and lovely homemade breakfast. A lovely place to stay!
