Accommodation was excellent! Stunning view, modern equipment, very clean, and even a great balcony with a hot tub. Fully equipped kitchen and even a parking space. For us, this village is the most beautiful on the island. We highly recommend it!

Pretty much everything; it is a beautifully refurbished and stylish house, with all modern appliances, including air conditioning; it has a large car parking on site; easiest check-in and check-out we have experienced as it is through a digital code/ locking systems; bedroom furniture is lovely with a mixture of modern and old; location is superb in the hot spring area (caldeira) of Furnas and at walking distance to the village centre; great views to hot-springs and the mountains. The house is like a 5 star hotel!

    Ribeira quente is an authentic fishing village with a great restaurant and bar which also serves good food . It has a spar supermarket but also a shop selling local fruit and vegetables amongst other things. It’s easy to find and an easy place to get to the town of Furnas with all the activities there. Although a bit of a drive to sete cicadas there is a fast road and well worth having a day there. I would highly recommend visiting the town of ribeira quente and staying at casa do lado

    The location of the apartment is unbeatable with...

    The location of the apartment is unbeatable with breathtaking views of the ocean. The host was very accommodating, the unit is clean and comfortable and the village is a 5min walk with great dining options. We loved our stay!

    Known for being the first settlement of Sao Miguel and now...

    Known for being the first settlement of Sao Miguel and now it is a pretty little town with old streets leading to the harbor. The local church, Nissan Senhora do Rosario is thought to have been the first parish on the island. Also, there is a Wheat Museum not too far away and worth checking out.

    Povoacao is small but big enough town with everything one needs for a great stay and relaxation. I would say, 10 days would be better than 7 days for a complete retreat without overpaying and "hustle and bustle" of a bigger city.

    The village is very small, not much to see.

    The village is very small, not much to see. It's a quiet place and a nice place to relax. Unfortunately it's a bit too far from the tons of points of interest outside the village. The roads to the village provide a fantastic view for the car passengers but with a lot of steep curves.

    Owners are welcoming and helpful! Love the quietness of the location, surrounded by nature/farms. Perfect for when you want down time! Kitchen is very well equipped! Owners provided outdoor tables and chairs to enjoy your meal overlooking such beautiful rolling hills and vista. If you don't have a car. The bus 318 stops just 2 mins from the Quinta. The market (Casa Cheia) is about 10 mins walk. Povoaçao town is about 20-30 mins walk. There's beaches in town that are good for swimming with black sand.

    Great place, well run and clean. Lots of equipment. The view and quietness are marvellous! Very friendly conversation with Belinda, who even welcomed us with a selection of coffee capsules, biscuits, and local marmelade and tea. Additional comment: We forgot a stuffed animal and Belinda was so super kind to take the effort to drop it at the reception of a hotel in Ponta Delgada where we stayed a night two weeks later. This further underlines the exceptional rating!

    If you are looking for a perfect combination of a hotel & small town this is it. It has a nice pool and jacuzzi, closest view at a sea you can imagine and small gym. Also the fact there is a nearby beaches (small) close to the hotel is not so common. Design of the room was uplifting and matching atmosphere of a sea. Definitely rent a room with sea view -> side of hotel with few rooms is facing a police station.

    The room is in a very nice house in Povoação. Everything was very clean and with great facilities. There's free parking on the street, right in front of the house. Miguel, the host, is very welcoming and helpful.
