This house and the gardens are absolutely amazing. We loved everything about it. It’s huge, we were well looked after and given little local treats and good breakfasts. everything very comfortable - plenty of outdoor seating with cushions, comfortable beds and beautiful garden with swimming pool overlooking the sea.

The location is perfect, right near the ocean and the city center. The staff and especially the hotel owner were extremely helpful, polite and efficient. . They helped us with restaurant reservations, car rental and many other special needs that came up during our stay. I will definitely return to Mastro on my next visit to Terceira. The room was super clean as was the whole hotel. 10+.

I stayed at this special and unique hotel - 3 nights. Just to thank and praise. The service approach - deserves all appreciation and praise. The hotel is so beautiful and tastefully decorated, starting from the special lobby, through the amazing sitting area, the bar and its inviting space. The bedroom is spacious, the bed is comfortable, there is a coffee corner. The breakfast is excellent! Every request is answered with a smile, professionally and immediately. Everything about this hotel met our expectations (as you can see by our ratings). While the location was at the top of a hill from the center of town (which meant going up the hill every time were returned from the city center), we were still very happy with its setting. It was on a quiet street off of a main road and at night the neighbourhood was exceptionally quiet. There was an issue with our room. The one that we were offered was not like the one that appeared in the BOOKING.COM photos. The photos in the booking of our SUPERIOR room had photos of the executive suite (unbeknownst to us), which is what we were expecting. I think that this was an error on the part of Booking.com. Upon mentioning this to the hotel, the management ultimately decided to upgrade us to the executive suite. The daily breakfast that was included was both copious and varied. Very good! The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

Hotel Monte Brasil is nicely situated in Angra do Heroísmo close to cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops. only a 3- 4 minute walk to the center of the city and botanical gardens, and ocean views a 10 minute walk to the beach. The hotel staff were friendly, pleasant, helpful, and informative. we enjoyed our stay and definitely will be returning guests for another stay at Hotel Monte Brasil when we return to this lovely Island of Terceira and Heritage City of Angra do Heroísmo We highly recommend Hotel Monte Brasil for the it's comfort, charm, location, and price.
