I checked in at 23:30. They sent me a code to open the front door. There was a cake waiting for me on the kitchen table and I could make hot tea. It was very nice, especially after the road. The hotel is located in the center. The breakfast was great: freshly squeezed juice, omelette, ham, cheese, yoghurts, fruits, tea, coffee. In the shower, in addition to shampoo, there was hair conditioner!! Which is great!!!

The house is very clean and comfortable! The beds are especially comfortable, so we had a very good rest! The location is good, close to many beaches, nice restaurants and 1 hour drive to reach center Lisbon. The garden is cozy, behind the garden is a farm where the owner grow chicken, ducks and turkeys 🦃 What is special about the house is the owner, they are so caring and friendly, providing anything we need and beyond, they made our stay very special! The owner also provide laundry service, which we never experienced before with other houses.

What a beautiful, quiet location with an amazing garden and lovely swimming pool. Filipe is a fantastic host, he had clearly explained to us how we could check in and during the stay you can always reach him with questions. The rooms are super clean and large. It is nice that you can use the shared kitchen that is equipped with all kinds of kitchen utensils. We only used the kitchen for our breakfast because in the low season there is no breakfast served. That was no problem because there is a Lidl nearby where you can get fresh bread and groceries. We definitly recommend taking a rental car because there is so much to see in this area where you will not get without a rental car (Santa Cruz, Ericeira, Cascais, Sintra, Obidos, etc.). We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone!

    It is only a small quiet town but close to the beach. There are some lovely restaurants and interesting shops. We were staying for a family wedding in a nearby Quinta so our experience was not typical of a normal visitor.

    There are things to do in Torres Vedras for the outdoorsy...

    There are things to do in Torres Vedras for the outdoorsy and adventurous type. We were there to look at a property and wanted to get to know the local areas. It's surrounded by hills and valleys, close to the ocean and its numerous beaches and home to vineyards, vegetable farms and so on. I'd say, see what the event calendar offers during the time of your travel and drive along the coast. It's the Portuguese version of the great ocean road drive.

    The hospitality of the front desk was an absolute disgrace. I have travelled a lot and spent a lot of time in hotels. This was the worst experience ever. In general I find that the Portuguese people are very friendly and helpful. This hotel is a 4 star hotel. That is a joke. They are not worthy of 1 star.

    A small but delightful city just 40Km north of Lisbon and...

    A small but delightful city just 40Km north of Lisbon and 12Km from the Atlantic coast. There are interesting Museums and historic buildings. There are routes to follow around the city for the Lines of Torres Vedras (Napoleonic War fortifications) Napoleonic battle sites and prehistoric locations (Zambujal) with its Central Portugal location, you can get to lots of other places within a 2 hour car journey -Coimbra, Evora, Bombarral (for the Buddha Eden gardens), Obidos and Nazare (for surfers). Food and (local) wines are both delicious and VERY good value. Bars and restaurants in Torres are plentiful... Liked Confidential, Patanisca, O'Parque, O'Pipo, Vynil and Boemia for an Irish ? Pub feel. Really relaxed pace of life and really friendly Portuguese people who will ensure you get the best of service and a warm welcome. Nick

    The location is right across the street from a high school and it's a nice quiet street peppered with cafes, toy store and other amenities. I think we were right in the centre of Torres Vedras because the local council office was just a street down.
