The room was clean well decorated and we slept well in the bed. There was a fridge and a safe for your valuables. The bathroom was fully equipped and a reasonable size. Breakfast you could have a full English or Continental and you helped yourself. The pool was of a good size and clean. There was a good lounge with a bar.

The hotel was located just outside the walled city with easy access through a pedestrian gate just steps away from the front entrance. Parking was a bit of a challenge (narrow streets), but the staff on check in were most helpful and it was sorted out in no time. The hotel is decorated as a medieval manor house with antiques, swords and armour scattered throughout. Check in was a breeze, but we were surprised at the size of the key. Getting to the room was simple and once there - the size of the key made sense. Opening the door took a moment as you had to unlock the door and then use a handle to lift and interior latch (it took a moment or two). Once inside, there is a plastic insert included with the key that must be inserted into a slot near the door to allow the lights, etc. to work. The room was small, but clean and cozy with a view to a grassed - terraced. The bathroom was to die for - lots of space and a bathtub large enough that I thought I could do laps in. Restaurants were mere steps away and the front desk staff were very helpful with suggestions. An unexpected treat was the common area with a large fireplace, comfortable seating and an honour bar with a wide variety of choices (you noted what you drank on a chit and provided it to the staff to be added to your room). It was a treat to enjoy a glass of port (or three) after dinner and a walk around the town. Room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Breakfast the next day was excellent with hot and cold choices, great coffee and some exceptional (according to my spouse) breakfast cakes. All in all, highly recommended during your stay in Obidos.

Very comfortable and cozy room with a cute balcony towards the pool. Yes a pool in the middle of Obidos. Close enough to the hub hub but in a side alley so we did not have any noise issues.

    No air conditioning working if present, Temps were @ 50 C ! No change of linens in 2 weeks endured, No ever breakfasts. Not Any View. Intense Mold & sewer smells, had to wash everything to use, no cleaning products / in bath included , Mosquitos hell bites beyond acceptation , Not Sound Proof…, Single quite small window in the whole studio giving into street at eye level, w No curtain. Courtyard upkeep neglected as w Outdoor Barrel tub. Left a week ahead !!! As No soft talking to host affected actions, It took almost a week to get a fan… Disappointing after paying an upgrade of almost €700. For a converted garage ! Sweet spoken Host but No Good management skills. Style but NO RETURN.
