my main interest was in the Sf Nicolae Church of the Valachian princes, dating from 14th c, one of the oldest in our country and with great old frescoes inside and the ruins of a valachian princes court (Curtea Domneasca) nearby. there is still to visit "Manastirea Argesului", the church housing the remains of the romanian kings, but as it was completely rebuilt in the 19th century my interest for it's architecture is lower. Curtea de Arges is a small town very easy to get around. most restaurants are on the main street and I could find some take-away even in late evening. the town is a good starting point to cross the mountains on Transfagarasean, a high altitude and spectacular street over the Carpathians but also for a journey in the hill land below the mountains in the counties of Arges and Dambovita.Guest review byAndrei__FRomania - 10.0

This location was perfect as a base. The ensuite room was a good size, and very clean. The lack of a restaurant was not an issue. A restaurant called The Lake was a 10-min walk away, and I ate there both evenings. For breakfast, I used the 24-hour petrol station next to the hotel.
