We stayed one night at The Runway Lodge in Pointe Larue (May 4–5), simply to be close to the airport—and it turned out to be more than just convenient. This small, charming pension delivers a warm welcome and genuine hospitality that makes even a short stay feel pleasant. It’s not a destination in itself, but as a last-night stopover before catching an early flight, it ticks all the boxes: clean, comfortable, friendly, and just a stone’s throw from the runway—minus the chaos. Ideal for travellers who prefer peace over panic before boarding.

The hotel is beside the mountains, front is Indian Ocean- with great natural beauty; also with swimming pool; i got chance to eat some Chinese food; we were lucky also got chance to be sent and picket up to the town center and beach for; I also saw sunrise in the room The staffs and owner were so friendly.     Marie-Aline, the owner of MARL Self Catering was very helpful and kind. She drove me to the supermarket and Eden Island for free. The apartment was very clean, well decorated and equipped as well as spacious. The location is very quiet, the planes do not make any disturbance. Very close to a bus stop going to Mahé and also a nice little beach only 5 minutes by bus. I highly recommend MARL.
