New and Jay are the best. They booked transportation for us and they were always available for questions, super welcoming and very friendly. The resort in general and the bungalows are sparkling clean, and very nice built. We didn’t need AC at all. On top of this, the resort is very eco friendly: no one-time-use plastic at all, no pool, they refilled out bottles with water every time that we wanted. The beach and the sea are very beautiful here, there is not a lot of people, and it is the perfect spot if you are looking for a remote thai paradise that is not crowded.

a wonderfully quiet complex in a fascinating landscape. Kate is an amazing host and manager. there is always coffee and fresh water. sometimes we got even some fruits or sweets to try. Everybody is always kind and caretaking. The cottages are equipped with mosquito nets and fans. comfortable mattress. large storage area and hanger. Everything is very clean upon arrival and is cleaned on demand. There are comfortable chairs on the shady veranda. The toilet is an incredible experience, you can see the starry sky and the birds in the trees to the side. There is no on-site restaurant, but you can eat great at the Bar or Eco Horizon on the beach in front, both a very short walk away. I love Rakkan Resort because of the traditional style, the calm and friendliness of the owners and staff. One sleeps fantastically and restfully. There are many exciting animals to watch and incredible landscape to explore. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet.

Last accomadation comming from the pier - small place with a good quiet vibe. Clean and well maintained bungalows. You need to find your own way to the resort - but simpel. We came from phuket airport and took a private transfer to Ban Nam Khem pier and longtailboat to koh Kho Khao (30 bath/person - notice stop sailing laround 18:00) and the taxi to Hapla (300 bath). Many write about the prices for food - we found the prices okay. Beach nice and clean around the resort. If you like quiet place with simpel but well maintained bungalows with very good toiletfacilities this is the place

I stayed on May 10, 2025, at a resort with a stunning view by the sea, which also offered STARBOARD activities. The food was fresh, delicious, and truly worth it. The service was warm and attentive — the staff were very friendly. One staff member in particular, Khun Boy, guided me around the property, recommended dishes, and took care of me throughout my stay. I didn’t expect a resort located far from the city to offer service comparable to a 5-star hotel. Their attention to guests was exceptional, far exceeding expectations — especially considering the room rates, which were very reasonable.

Lori, her family and the staff are super nice and caring. The food is very good and affordable, just ask about the fresh seafood of the day! We came with our 3y old and he was very please with the big pile of toys on the beach. Great beach for swimming and chilling.

Staying in BABA Ecolodge is an amazing EXPERIENCE. Every house is unique, we had a pleasure to stay in the „Sea Blue 1” for 5 days - together with my fiancée. The hut was truly beautiful. Very comfortable bed, a lot of space in wardrobes, bathroom outside in the open air and the balcony with the best sea view that you can imagine! The whole resort is basically in the jungle and you can admire the beauty of nature on every step. Restaurant is in the stylish colognal building and the breakfast served is truly exceptional. The beach is very long with a golden sand, you can see a few kilometers of it with literally no people for the most of the time. There’s also a bay with a beach bar, beach loungers, water equipment and calmer water with smaller waves. There’s an option to take a kayak and have a trip into a mangrove canal for about 30 min one way, which was very nice as we love kayaking and the surroundings was really exotic. All the staff in the resort is really nice and helpful. The manager Theresa was very kind and responsive prior to our arrival, during the check-in she gave us a long explanation about the resort and the welcome tour to show everything. Also, you can find a very comprehensive guide in your apartment, with a lot of useful information and describing the mission of the resort. There’s a small library that you can use and borrow a book - several languages available. Last but not least, I took 90 min Thai massage (1,400 THB), that was probably the best massage that I’ve ever had, not only during this 3-weeks trip, but in my entire life (and I had probably something like 100+ of them). After the 1st one I immediately booked another for two days later.
