Patong beach is nice. It's a party place. Seems to be pretty safe. Lots of people selling and renting lots of things. Not a quiet getaway place but a great place to see the nightlife and it is a good place for swimming. The beach has no public bathroom facilities and most places will charge ten to twenty baht for bathroom usage. I love Patong Beach, the soft sand, the warm water. I enjoy the vibe from the masseuse, the fireworks displays, the dancing in the evening and the Jungceylon Mall. Not to mention the kick boxing. It's easy to get around Patong. A favorite eatery was Dang.Guest review byFelicity

Right by Patong beach but avoiding the crowds as its located on a cliff, with great views of the bay. The 3 tier swimming pool ensures there is enough pool space and deck chairs for guests, even during the busy season (we visited during christmas).
