It was our second visit, we came to spend time with our daughter who resides at the university in Nakhon Si Thammarat. On our first visit we explored everything worth seeing so this visit there was very little else to seeGuest review byConradThailand - 10.0
Highlight were the temple at Pra mahattat Kopi restaurant...
Highlight were the temple at Pra mahattat Kopi restaurant and a day trip to Khiriwong village. The town is much bigger than appears on the map and it’s really sprawling. It would be impossible to explore on foot and too dangerous to tour on a bike (the driving is pretty scary as there are two long wide straight roads and cars absolutely tank along taking little account of pedestrians). The food here is sensational. Really different to the more familiar Isan cuisine. Lots of herbs and leaves and VERT hot. Rim Ley restaurant in Tha Sala served up some of the finest seafood I’ve ever had. Everything is in Thai but there are pictures to point at. The scenery in the hills nearby is stunning. Hotel was located just off the main road and suitable for travellers with a car. Quite a few car parks both covered and uncovered are available. The bed was comfortable and I liked the hair dryer provided. There is a great street food market just beyond the bridge on the left of the main road.
