Wow! This was the most luxurious room I have ever stayed in. In fact, it's not even a room, it's little house with two rooms, all huge, and huge luxurious bathroom. Everything is brand new, not just in your "villa" but everywhere. We also used spa services and those were great too. The whole property is very isolated, you feel very calm and safe. The staff tries their best to accommodate your needs. The price might look high comparing to other hotels, but it totally worth it.

The nicest hotel you will ever stay in at this price point. Palatial facilities, nice staff. Yossra was very friendly and helpful. Good bar, huge buffet dinner (50 TND extra).

You can organize lot of different activities through hotel staff (camel or horse riding, bikes, etc. ). Food was nice, rooms are clean, we even had a mini fridge. Would recommend.

Grand Sud is at the edge of the Sahara! Probably one of the last homes before you get to Algeria! The location is wonderful. The host is so warm, welcoming, and kind that he makes the stay even better. Plus, if you want to go camping in the desert by camel he will arrange it all for you easily and affordably. So incredible to leave by camel from the hotel into the desert. A car (we had two wheel drive no problem to get here) is probably essential since town is 12-15 minutes driving. The sunset from the upper patio is beautiful over the date palms. Stay here.

Everything was excellent including facilities, bedding, shower and towels. Very welcoming. It was the nicest place that we stayed in during the past month in Tunisia and Morocco. Excellent breakfast and cookies. If we could rate it higher than 10, we would.

Our stay in Douz was one of the best parts of our Sahara Desert road trip. The apartment is in the heart of the town, making it easy to walk anywhere. The location was even better than we hoped. The apartment itself was large, clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, and the space felt open and welcoming. The host, Faoizi, was on another level. He was always ready to help and kept in touch with clear communication. One evening, we joined him at his café to watch the World Club Cup semifinal, which made us feel part of the community. The highlight of the stay was the 4x4 sunset jeep tour into the Sahara. It felt real and unique. We enjoyed Berber food cooked in the desert and over a cup of traditional tea while learning about local life. We arrived in Douz as guests but left feeling like friends. This was more than just a place to stay; it was an experience we will never forget. Shukran Faoizi and see you soon!

Insider tip: Head to the animal stock market early in the morning (around 6–7 AM) to witness traditional trading in action — complete with lively negotiations over sheep, goats, and camels.     The owner of this place was the nicest most accommodating host in Tunisia. He quickly and easily helped us organise a camel tour in Douz at an amazing price. Breakfast was fresh and delicious too. The location is great, about a 10-15 minute walk from the town center. The owner also recommended a great restaurant in town. The room was simple and had everything we needed for a short stay. Internet standard for Tunisia.

    My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Garden12. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and we really felt at home during our stay. They let us check out a few hours later than expected due to the intense heat of Douz on that particular day which was very kind. The breakfast was 10/10 and displayed the wonderful food Tunisia has to offer.

    The lobby is very beautiful. The bar on the first floor is very nice and relaxing. The barman vey nice. However, advertising can be a bit better, because we only found this bar on the third day. Location is great, close to the sahara desert and at a few minutes driving from Douz centre.

    Sahara Douz was as expected. There are not many hotel options in the area and none that are luxury for what most would consider luxury, however I would say Sahara Douz did a great job of ensuring we were comfortable. We only stayed one night and the staff is what made the stay great.
