My gf and I have stayed at The Bear on multiple occasions to visit her family and each time we are blown away at how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff is to us. They go out of their way to make your stay great and have always helped us keep luggage there safely as we travelled to other parts of Taiwan. Invaluable to us so that we can go to other areas without having to take massive amounts of luggage with total peace of mind that all is 100% safely looked after. This place is truly exceptional: Combines a beautiful view over the mountains, lake and distant ocean with a distinct NZ or UK-feeling of design, a nice romantic Hobbit-garden - and sounds of Nature all around. Good location for relax from city-life, with friends or as single-traveler. The owners were friendly and very helpful, provided a very good veggie dinner and breakfast on request. Located closely to the hiking-areas of XiaoWuLai (Ancient Trees) and other scenic spots.

The hotel has fascinating design including the room, lobby and kitchen. The gym is so clean and organised equipment. I can say that pool on the top floor is relaxing as there is garden and magnificent view of the city.

Modern & convenient facilities, helpful staff, 400m to banqiao station (bus, TRA, mrt blueline & yellow line). it’s located in new taipei city, a little bit far from the city center. However, it’s near the mrt station so it’s not a problem. The hotel is quiet, clean with the comfort bed. Affordable price. You should chose this for your holiday.
