I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property for one night, and it was exactly what I needed. The location is incredibly quiet and peaceful, providing the perfect environment to unwind and relax without any disturbances. It felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house itself was spacious and comfortable, and the property offered a large area for parking, which was very convenient. There’s also a beautiful farm and garden that adds to the charm of the place, creating a serene atmosphere. Everything was incredible. From The welcoming staff who fetched us at the airport, to the amazing owner and his lovely wife, the cleaning staff, restaurant staff, security, and grounds staff were all simply amazing. Everyone went out their way to make sure we were well taken care of and nothing was too big of an ask.

It’s Kids friendly, they have variety of facilities, the pool is amazing, they have rooms with private pools. Everything in the facility is brand new and state of the art. The plantation around the facility makes the walkways unbelievable. The staff are super friendly and are working around the clock. There is Nannie’s to look after the kids with reasonable price and they are trustworthy. The staff are neat and clean. The place is constantly decorated, the furniture in the rooms are outstanding. They have lots of variety when it comes to food. And they can designate the chef to cater for your need of what you like to eat, especially if it’s not inclusive in the buffet. The recreational facility arranges all type of tours such as Safaris, quart riding, going to the turtles, snookling, horse riding in the beach, kayaking, and many many more. There is an also a facility of being massaged by the beach.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

Everything was very good : the room was clean, comfortable and furnished with taste. The air conditioning is working perfectly. Specially the people who are working there are very nice and helpful. Marian particularly is very nice. Most of everything, the breakfast is amazing, abundant, very tasteful and you got good choices. The location of the Shoki House is also perfect, you are close from the heart of the city and at the same time close from the ocean front. Very good hotel for the price and for discovering Stone Town.
