Everything! Personel from hotel was really awesome and helpfull. They help us organize trips in the island! They speak english very well. Every morning they prepare delicious breakfast for us. They have swimming pool and wonderful garden. That place was so paradise, beaufifull plants around, animals lizards and chickens :D the public beach is near to the hotel, there is really paradise!!! Maybe its village but there is also shop and everything you can buy. On our house had also fridge, wifi and what is the most important in hot place like this - air condition!!! I really recommend for everybody who appreciates the silence not place only for turist and beach full of restaurants and shops. Just have fun!!!

One of the Best Hotels in Zanzibar! We had an amazing stay at this hotel for over a month, and it was truly one of the best in terms of quality service. The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to help, making our experience even more enjoyable. The surroundings were breathtaking, and the room facilities, along with the cleanliness, exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar and wish them continued success!

Beautiful authentic hotel, with an amazing private beach that looks like it was taken out of a postcard. Thanks to the bay, the low tide was soft, relatively to the east and south sides of Zanzibar. Great restaurant with a beautiful view and varied food. The hotel highlight in our opinion was the staff - always kind and smiling, willing to help with any request.

Exceptional place to stay. The facilities - swimming pool, bar and restaurant were all first class. Food was delicious. Best of all was the wonderful welcome and hospitality shown by the fantastic owners Petra and Thomas. We had the pleasure to stay one week at the Castaway Villa. The complete team did an amazing job fulfilling the promise to provide a home far away from home and to go even beyond. Our holidays literally started the moment we got of the airport and ended when the driver dropped us. Everything in between was taken care of including organizing day trips. The facilities as well as the food are one of a kind and if you are looking for top of the notch service paired with pure privacy then this is your choice.

    Please remember that Marumbi is a Village in a poor third...

    Please remember that Marumbi is a Village in a poor third world country and therefore there is very little to do. A few local shops. A couple of local Restaurants (We loved Bustani), no bars and a hotel that doesn’t welcome outsiders. If you are looking for nightlife it’s probably not for you.
