We stayed in a beach front villa which was 5 metres from the sea, be warned the tide goes out around 500 metres, but great for walking on the sand bars. Spent every morning watching the monkeys. Staff were exceptional.

Nice and comfortable rooms with Seaview The manager tried his best to make it a great time. The breakfast was very good. The location is ok so far, if you want to walk around there is the beautiful beach but not much to see around the area apart the beach. The new years eve party and BBQ was very good and it has been a very fair price.

One of the best hotels in Zanzibar Uroa. Highly recommended for short or long stays. The Staff are best in the area Andrea helping you with tours/ practicals & Suma in the restaurant with a bright smile always. The food is perfect with the most affordable prices, and quality in the area. The owner cares a lot about the guests helping in any way possible to offer best experience for the guests. We were offered cold ginger orange drinks coming to the hotel, and the check in and check out was fast and smooth. You can get Taxi service by contacting the Hotel in advance. You have access to one of the beatiful beaches in Zanzibar with sea view and marvelous sunrise+sunsets. Its possible to take walk along the long beach of Uroa. Breakfast and coffee in the morning with Indian Ocean view LOVE IT🤎 Can't wait going back here and going on Tuna Fishing trip as offered by the Hotel. Enjoy the sun, and nature! Max&Agnes

We loved absolutely everything! The staff were so-so kind and helpful, food tasted amazing and there was always so many different types of it. Air conditioning was better than any else hotel we have visited in Africa or Asia and rooms were clean, big and nice. We also loved the pool area where you can get literally everything you want- deeper and lower water, sunshine and not if you've had enough of it already. And best coctails in pool bar!! We had already booked another hotel too before our trip to Zanzibar (a bit more expensive one actually) and we regretted this decision every day and wished we had spent our whole trip in Zanzibar in TOA's hotel.

    The resort was clean and had the island atmosphere. Food was good and a variety to choose wwwith different restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Just a reminnder that you will pay extra at the airport for insurance fees and also extra tax fees at the hotel if its not included in your original price.

    This area has less tourism than some other areas in Zanzi...

    This area has less tourism than some other areas in Zanzi bar, it has what you need, different restaurangs, a super market, beachbar and so on. There is not so many other tourists here so you feel like its really a part of an small island. If you are looking for highend dining and alot of shopping then i advise you to look for another area or do as we did - get a car or a taxi its ok priced for a full day. The traffic was really suprising - its was better then most so called modern countries - slow, keeping distance -respecting each other - we rented a car for 3 days and it was super nice. We payed 30usd/day + 10usd for the local driving license - dont drive to fast or drunk - the police are really on there toes - and mind the big roadbumps... We ate a lot of lobster and fish - always fresh - never dissapointed, we also ate alot of vegetarian food - its everywere great dishes.

    The location was excellent.

    The location was excellent. The vegetation was very nice, and the seating places were very comfortable. Following my unfavourable interaction with cats, we were upgraded to a bigger room with an ocean view since I have ailurophobia (cat phobia). Thanks to the hotel owners for such a gesture. We had an issue with our bank card, and they also gave us more time during our stay to sort this out. Disliked · Being an Ailurophobia (Cats phobic), I did not enjoy the outdoor space because several cats roamed everywhere, including the restaurant, balconies and stairs. This has nothing to do with the owners but my personal condition. I advise those with similar conditions to avoid this place. Areas of improvement include breakfast - more food diversity and a balanced diet are needed. The beds in the rooms need to be fixed to avoid noise. Bathrooms need upgrading.

    Spice market was very interesting to learn and see how the herbs and spices we use on a daily basis is grown and cultivated. Stone Town has a lot of history and a spice shoppers paradise. Prison Island wasn’t bad, expected more but the turtles made it worth the visit.

    Very small quiet village on the east coast of Zanzibar, perfect for a relaxing romantic vacation. If some action is needed you can go to the nearby Kiwendwa, only 20 20-minute drive, or to the bigger more touristy areas in the north up to an hour drive. But to enjoy the island in full Uroa is one of the best places. And the best food! (we have tried in 5 different villages across Zanzibar!

    The tourism activities they superb I enjoyed nakupenda sand beach nd jet skiing in Kuwenda beach,and the stone town cashew nuts were very nice nd fresh, out of all the tour guide I booked for excursions with their services are wonderful we were able to get easy to our excursions places

    I was here for the second time during the last six months. A wonderful place to relax for a few days! The dromedar at the entry is a curious creature and doesn’t give easily way to visitors 😆 Donkeys bring yourself with your luggage to the flat. The terrace of the room gives a gorgeous view over the sea. The restaurant offers very nice meals, especially sea food is strongly recommended! The price was just unbeatable. Antonio Beach Tree Hotel is highly recommended!

    We loved our stay at Maharajah Hotel! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location is ideal — right by the sea. In the evening , we enjoyed live music and delicious local food at the hotel restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly, and a special shoutout to Anita, who gave us the best recommendations for places to explore nearby. Thanks to her, we had some unforgettable experiences. Would definitely come back!

    Staff was friendly and willing to make our stay comfortable. The food was good. I especially enjoyed the tuna steak. Stepping out of our room to the beach ⛱️ 🙌. Their beach being not crowded at all, your own beach with only a less than a handful of other hotel guests at most, perfect just before, at, or just after the high tide. If you are looking for a retreat, it was ideal. I'd go back there without a whiff of hesitation.
