The Calaveras County Fair / Frog Jumping Jubilee was a blast. It was defintiely worth the visit. We missed out on visiting Coyote Creek Cave in Vallecito, and heard that it was a great place so definitely plan to return again.

Excellent place to visit and relax.

Excellent place to visit and relax. Lovely people, so courteous, nice shops, and good food. We loved it. We went to see a play at the Metropolitan in San Andres and it was excellent. I highly recommend it if you are looking for something different to do, it’s a great place to be and visit.

    It is a unique town/area.

It is a unique town/area. It is very spread out for a small town. It has a small town feel with people who speak to you and look you in the eye. The mountain area roads are very well maintained and exciting to travel. The roads into this area are very good from the Sacramento region. The highway 4 turns more mountainous as you travel to Arnold. There are two museums that we visited. Oh yes, nearby in Murphys, the Ironstone Vineyard(Concert there is the reason we went in the first place), has a great retail space and serves incredible lunch on Saturdays!

I don't like booking a place under false advertising!

I don't like booking a place under false advertising! Booking.com had this place listed as a free breakfast included- which, I found out was NOT available at all! This is the 3rd or 4th time that I have caught Booking.com in false advertising! That is just wrong! One time their ad said tge place had refrigerators, and they were not available at all. Fortunately I called the property before, and had to cancel and find another place. I shouldn't of had to do that!! They should update their ads, so people know exactly what they are getting!! I will no longer use Booking.com. I would rather call the actual property, and know what I am getting!

I know the town is small and everything however there were no restaurants that we could find late night or early morning. I went to Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight concert in Murphy's. The hotel stay saved a night drive home.

Charming Gold Rush town with just enough services close by...Gotta try Mike's Pizza...The Best...This is a great area to explore..relax..and enjoy the beautiful California hills...Take day trips to surrounding area for a historic Train Ride, Wine with great views, food and music, Gold Rush history abounds and Ironstone Winery Fireworks on the weekend before the 4th of July...Only the best. Relax and explore...

Did not partake in Breakfast. Very quiet rooms, water hot, clean. Minor mold if you looked for it. Typical 2 star Hotel. Bed was firm. Large room but was at an Hallows event so spent little time. Wi-Fi was good. Pools was "not available" since "off season in Late October. I would NOT go there again for a romantic getaway.. just a place to wash and sleep. A bit run down and simple. Better than Motel 6 by far but was moderate price. Angles Camp is a nice place but Murphy's is far more attractive.

Half the price for room in August compared to nearby hotels. Good location near Ironstone in Murphys. where we attended a concert. As expected, small & old yet clean. Plastic chairs & table outside the door with an ashtray for smoking. Air conditioner kept us cool. Bed comfortable enough. Accommodating and efficient check-in person.
