    I liked the location.

I liked the location. Some of the staff was very kind and they tried trouble shooting and making sure that my stay is ok. But this hotel pretends to be "fancy", and frontdesk calls it that, but the least of this mislabelling is that this place lacks personality. Most of all it has an unforgivable discomfort - as a seasoned traveller I have never experienced such bathroom design: the light is all motion sensors -- you get up at night and as you walk in, trying not to wake fully up, the strong bathroom light comes on, so no chance ... And as fast as it came, while you are still doing your business, it disappears, so it gets dark, and you need to wave and motion (again, while trying to hold on whatever sleep left in you) to bring the light back on. Ridiculous is an understatement. The list of design faux pas at this hotel goes on, but instead of going through let me just say: this place is overrated and not worth the price. For what it has to offer it must be cheaper and ranked with less stars. I will not return.

Athens is great, however we just go there to visit family.

Athens is great, however we just go there to visit family. Always check the University's graduation/event schedule as if they have something going on, it is impossible to get any hotel room in Athens. Book early.

College town close to a lot of outdoor activities.

College town close to a lot of outdoor activities. We were there for Hocking Hills State Park and Athens is about 30 miles away. Fun town like you would expect for a college town and has a very nice downtown. School was in session so it was crowded but a beautiful town with lots to do.

Miller's Poultry is a place I always pick up chicken when in Athens. There are numerous excellent dining establishments for sit down dining and these can be found on Google. Definitely recommend stopping in at Passion Works, it is an uplifting art experience. There are many hiking trails and parks around Athens. Avon Pond or Sells Park is near and lovely.

Athens is a quaint college town.

Athens is a quaint college town. Lots of coffee shops, eateries, book stores, bars, and students. We were there for an "accepted students event" for my daughter and were attending many programs at Ohio University; however, when we were walking around the town, we exchanged smiles and "hellos" with several passers-by, and twice were asked, "May I help you?" by complete strangers. The area is picturesque and the nearby Hocking Hills offer tons of outdoor recreational activities. I'm sure it's beautiful in the fall with all of the huge, hardwood trees. We love the area and hope to spending a fair amount of time there over the next four years. :-)

    Love this boutique hotel.

Love this boutique hotel. However, the wall to the adjoining room was extremely thin, and I could hear every conversation from the lively and active couple staying there. After 20 minutes of listening to them arguing at 1:40 am, I politely asked them to please lower their voices; and they complied. I could hear their private (very delicate phrasing) intimate activities and could not drown it out except by putting headphones on. Little thing, but the blow dryer in my room was not functional enough to dry my hair and the lighting in the bathroom was quite dim and poor. The very kind and accommodating staff let me use an empty room on the floor to get ready, and that bathroom was outstanding. Just luck of the room draw. But quite nice, I will definitely stay there again. I was there on an emergency medical visit for my on-campus daughter, and staff was very kind and accommodating.

I loved everything about the hotel. I would like to thank all the cheerful staff and their warm hospitality but my special thanks go to Matthew who makes the breakfast so wonderful and delicious. I enjoyed every minute of my time. Plus the location is perfect, very close to Court Street.

Staff were very nice. The rooms were basic - everything worked. Check in was fast. Hotel was in a nice area. The pool looked nice but we were only there from 11pm until 9am, so we did not use it.

It's a little outside central Athens but easy access. Quiet area with some slight highway noise but nothing to keep you awake. It's a Super 8. You get a bed and a bathroom.
