GermanyVery good family style hotel in the middle of the Pensylvania coal basin, referenced with big coal blocks at the reception hall. Friendly staff was taking care on all needs and gave recommedations on evening entertainment. Room are spacious and very clean. The new modern Apple TV's are good for everybody want to stream movies and series. The restaurant and breakfast are pretty good even with fresh fruits and cheese omelette. The coffee is presented in big cans, but often renewed, The best hotel during my trip and best booked via hotel search platforms. Parking is free in sheltered garage behind the hotel.

Make you own waffles were delicious with toppings, omelets, breakfast bowls, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juices. I enjoyed the tasty waffles, bagels and cheddar cheese omelet. Love the 24 hour coffee too!!! The pool, hot tub temperatures was perfect, I've been to many hotels that say heated pool and they are usually cold, but not Home 2 Suites. The beds were comfy, the rooms were large and roomy. I like the kitchenette area, the fire pit out on the deck overlooking the area.

It is near the Hwy 81, so if you are looking for a cozy comfortable and easy to access the Hwy 81, I strongly recommend it!

This is a Quant little get away.
This is a Quant little get away. Warm, friendly and inviting. Clean fresh sheets. Ice machine available. I would definitely reconsider the Anthracite to anyone visiting Carbondale. Texas road house is a short drive to Dixon. The mall is near by. Lots of stores to choose from.

It is home for me.
It is home for me. It’s sad to see some of the buildings torn down. There are some bad spots at night. Young people hanging around, loud motorcycles going up and down. First time I was afraid to walk around at night

There really is little reason to come to this town.
There really is little reason to come to this town. It is a jump-off point for several tours of the surrounding area, and if you are coming into this area for work, where Scranton would be a little far, this is a very nice hotel, better than Hampton Inn, that is if you have to come to Carbondale. I would not stop here if it wasn't for a work assignment. The lighting in the room is excellent, and although my room faced Main Street, after 8PM or so, it was fairly quiet. If you need to be someplace for multiple months, this isn't a bad place. However if you like to cook, try to find long-term housing closer to Scranton. The improvement and widening of Route 6 (not Business Rt 6) makes the drive from Scranton a much easier commute.

Very nice hotel and spacious room. We came down at about 9:45 for breakfast and the gentleman said good morning and told us he was bringing out more food. He kept the food and coffee refreshed until past 10 am. Friendly staff and very nice hotel. Things were closed because it was Christmas but there was a cute Christmas tree walk that businesses in the area sponsored and decorated each of their own trees. Really cute! Will definitely stay here again when we are visiting my bf's family for Christmas!

The location was central to everything we needed, including the wedding venue. I liked the actual bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. I have a lot of hair and there was plenty of product. Seems smart on the hotels part as well, not to shell out a ton of money for those little bottles in every room. The bartender was awesome and friendly.
