    Charleston is a charming small city.

    Charleston is a charming small city. A lot of construction going on but then it was founded by English settlers 355 years ago, so that’s understandable. The variety is what makes it fun & educational. There are plantations such as Magnolia and Boone Hall to tour and I highly recommend both. If you’re traveling with a dog, your furry family member can tour the gardens of both places. Dogs are also allowed on the trolley tour at Boone Hall. Just no entering buildings. Other activities include ghost tours, boat tours, and museum on the history of slave markets. Many lovely churches with their high spirals. Parking is expensive, but we found the city very walkable and enjoyed evening strolls as well. If you’re traveling with munchkins in a stroller, (or again dogs), Hampton Park is a treat.

    Hadn't been to Charleston in several years.

    Hadn't been to Charleston in several years. It was great to see it all again along with the latest additions. Have been to many cities in my lifetime after leaving Charleston but always returned as it is still the most spell bound place i've ever lived in this country.

    This is more of an adult travel destination rather than kids. Interesting Fort Sumpter 1st Shot of Civil War and Charleston Museum 1st Museum of US it has some historical interest but not alot of variety in attractions. Several boat cruises, several carriage rides, the free downtown trolly bus was a huge plus and the bench swings and the pier at Pineapple fountain/water taxi area was highlight of our trip. Charleston is a place for a calm, relaxing vacation.

    Charleston is a very historic place with lots of places to visit. I was impressed by the Angel Tree which is over 400 years old. They recently added a tree that was grown from the fallen acorn from the original tree;

    The hotel was easy to find, the staff was friendly, and the place was absolutely beautiful. They gave us dinner and breakfast. It was a very good experience and probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at.

    Nice historical city.

    Nice historical city. Rich history of rice crops making it wealthiest city in the south. I loved the Barbados inspired architecture of homes with side porches. Enjoyed learning of the Gullah Geechee culture and the seagrass baskets. Quaint town and great food as well as beautiful scenery. I immensely enjoyed the whole experience!

    We chose this hotel for 3 nights for exploring Charleston, because it was affordable compared to hotels downtown or at the beach. I've stayed at other Springhills, this wasn't the best nor the worst. It's close to airport and shopping, though far from downtown - need a car for sure. Breakfast was quite good, staff was helpful Free parking

    Lovely period property in the historic old Charleston area. Nice large room with good period decor, with garden view balcony with table and chairs. The hotel offers a nice complementary wine, cheese & cold meats buffet at 5pm as well as breakfast buffet.
