I didn't do much in Dobson,. I was on a Motorcycle tour and just passing thru. The "Diner" next door was open early, served good food at a great price with a friendly staff. Hotel accomodations were dated and worn out. The Staff was so friendly and polite, and made our stay better than it should have been. The first motel was very bare bones. Things the Surry Inn had that the other motel didn't have were a couch, and a table with chairs. The heat/air system was much better. It was a real nice experience. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable and quiet. If we ever plan to go back to this area we will definitely be staying at the Surry Inn. We got a lot more than expected for a very reasonable price.Guest review byJamieUnited States

Good hospitality from front desk and morning breakfast staff. Room was well furnished, comfortable and clean.
