    We went for the first time in the last week of June 2024.

    We went for the first time in the last week of June 2024. It was less crowded and laid back than Saugatuck, but very convenient to their quaint downtown area as well as the drive to Saugatuck downtown. We drove to the entrance of Douglas Beach but did not go because of no parking space available and it does not allow our dog. Limited restaurants and some do not open until after 2 p.m. Enjoy the Blue Star Cafe & Ice Cream and Uncommon Coffee. Several legal marijuana stores if you want some fun while in Michigan!

    Must stay at this motel.

    Must stay at this motel. You walk straight through to the back yard and it is so inviting, there’s a hot tub, a huge place for sitting white railing around deck, so inviting, a huge fire pit with chairs, deck lights up at night. Pet friendly. This is the first we didn’t drive around to find something to do, went to the grocery store next door with anything you could want and sat in the back yard till midnight talking. 😍 loved it.
