Very interesting town with a great sense of its own history.

Very interesting town with a great sense of its own history. Beautiful architecture and an active waterfront area. Love the many public parks, including Hawks Ridge for seeing migrating birds. Don’t miss the free historical exhibits in the old train depot.

We visit Duluth every year for City On The Hill Music...

We visit Duluth every year for City On The Hill Music Festival. This time we were there for the Tall Ships Festival Of Sail 2025. So, 2 times in 2025. We ate at Grandma's and Little Angie's - both I would highly recommend!!! We also ate at the Duluth Perkin's - also a great choice!!! We always go to the Portland Malt Shop for Ice Cream or a Malt - delicious, but expect a lengthy wait in line. We took a cruise on the Vista Star, which is always fun and relaxing!!! We visited Two Harbors another day. And went to Burlington Station and Callie's for some unique Fudge - Pistachio, Cookies and Cream, and Cotton Candy flavors, and Popcorn. Love Duluth and the Two Harbors areas!!!

North shore scenic drive and skyline drives were amazing.

North shore scenic drive and skyline drives were amazing. Don't miss Seven Bridges Road. Fireworks and concerts on the lakeside for the fourth were great. Lots of tourist information spots available, helpful staff. Black Woods bar and Grill was awesome. One of a kind cheese curds. Butternut ravioli was superb. Music and scenery and wait staff were all excellent. We also tried out Pizza Luce and had a great pizza and pretzel. There was some construction that made it a little tricky to get around, but is interesting seeing all the different architecture types and straight up and down streets. Canal Park is a great place to see the lake, the lift bridge, and the lighthouse.

There was so much to.do, and.not nearly enough time.

There was so much to.do, and.not nearly enough time. The zoo and aquarium were both wonderful. Gooseberry falls is about half an hour away, and absolutely amazing. The views of the city and the lake were incredible. Definitely going back!

    Lots of attractions!

Lots of attractions! We bought a Duluth passport for admission to three attractions and saved money. North shore scenic railroad, Great Lakes Aquarium, and the William Arvin historic boat tour. Boat tour very interesting. Drove along the shoreline and stopped at Gooseberry Falls. A must see! We weren’t prepared for the cold weather. So cold and windy. (Week before memorial weekend) Recommend eating at Betty’s Pies. So many selections of pies. I had her strawberry rhubarb and my husband had her Blackberry peach. Such big slices! Also her chicken pasty's are delicious.

If you have not been to Duluth.

If you have not been to Duluth. Check out what you like and want to see; Canal Park, Two Harbors, Split Rock, Gooseberry Falls. Yes, they have a Sam's Club up near Miller Mall and Enger Tower. Lots of restaurants in Canal Park (Grandma's, Belisios Italian and Little Angies Mexican) food and shopping. Train Depot with history and pizza train to Two Harbors. Duluth Zoo or Aquarium as well. Ice cream shops! Don't forget a quick trip on the Vista Fleet on the water. The lift bridge is a sight to see when a vessel comes into Duluth. There is so much to see! I will be going back in a few weeks.

I didn't even stay there it was so disgusting, but I was charged for the booking and have been fighting to get my money back to no avail. I used booking.com to book the room, and when I arrived, they said there was no booking even though I showed them the confirmation number. They offered another room that was available. After viewing the room (disgusting), we were refunded for that room and booked a room at a different hotel. 2 days later I was charged for the original booking.com booking.

The king suite was a pretty big room. We didn't need all the space, but it was the only room still available for our dates. There also were enough parking spots for cars all around the hotel. The hotel itself had a nice vibe.
