I arrived in the late afternoon, on a motorcycle.

I arrived in the late afternoon, on a motorcycle. I was hot and tired. I'd requested a ground-floor room, to be closer to my motorcycle. That plan did not go as I'd wished, not because of a thing that staff could have done. Having never been at this property before, I had been hoping to simply step into my room with my heavy luggage. In retrospect, I feel confident that staff, had I asked, would have helped me with my load. I say this, because in every way the staff was helpful and gracious. Pleasant stop. After riding in the hot sun, the pool may have saved me. Ha ha. Would stay again.

    Really welcoming.

Really welcoming. A great studio with well thought through design. The bed was so comfortable with excellent bed linen and pillows to envy. Kitchen features included washing up liquid and all the cooking utensils you could possibly need. Sofa was great for sitting on, and everything was clean and fresh. Wardrobe fittings were stylish and useful and the TV was set up so that you could have it angled for optimum viewing wherever you chose. Can’t think of a better hotel for a tourist that I’ve ever been in.

    Ellensburg is a nice town.

Ellensburg is a nice town. We really enjoyed the scenery in the the nearby Yakima Canyon and the drive to White Pass. Lots of really big peaks, Enchantments are not far, many rivers around and generally delightful and scenic even in very cold January weather. Drove to several areas, Wenatchee’s Horse Lake Reserve was closed as it was winter but we were able to hike the road. Yakima Canyon was delightful as always. Drove to White Pass and saw Rimrock Lake and watched the skiers at White Pass.

The town is quiet and feels old fashioned along with a nice farmers market on Saturday. Central Washington University is a beautiful property! We met many friendly people in the town and felt safe and welcome!

Ellensburg is a small town comprised of good old people...

Ellensburg is a small town comprised of good old people mostly blue-collar workers honest for the most part I would say 90% of them just a good will rounded community. It's a down to Earth community so you don't have any real high-end anything you don't have a high-end mall or Tesla dealership you're gonna have the mom in pop stores which are great and from what I understand you're going to pretty much know people no matter what store you go into because the community has been raised for decades some even centuries And are very familiar with their neighbors. There are also a number of European and South American ethnicities in Ellensburg so the food is very good hit some of your smaller restaurants there's plenty to do for kids with the rivers and lakes, kayaking and swimming and be sure to bring along the pets as they are really welcome in the state parks unlike the Econo Lodge. Just be sure if you do bring your pets that you have leash. Oh yeah traffic is very minimal even at peak times courteous drivers some of them are a little speedy but if they get behind you they're not all up in your trunk just pull over and they will pass you and you can go on about your site saying because the countryside is beautiful also if you get a chance get out there in the mountains of Ellensburg because they have one of the rarest gems called the Ellensburg blue and it is very obtainable you just gotta put it a little work but it's well worth it they are absolutely brilliant you gotta check them out online Ellensburg blue the second rarest Jim on the planet.

I’m 100% biased. I spent my childhood there.

I’m 100% biased. I spent my childhood there. Love cattle country & the mountains. It’s a college town so there is more opportunity for music, sports , lectures etc. Has lost a couple of great restaurants since Covid but there is still variety. Great getaway

We needed to stop in Ellensburg before arriving Seattle, so this stop was necessary but not connected with any special plans. The hotel was beautiful and the high ceiling made it so airy and roomy. We loved the complimentary snacks such as cookies in the evening. The equipment was great and everything was neat and clean. Would recommend it!
