The views from the room at Driftwood Shores are amazing, it...

The views from the room at Driftwood Shores are amazing, it was stormy so we watched from our room. The Little Brown Hen is our favorite spot for breakfast, we always get the elk steak. The Fresh Harvest is also good for breakfast. Novellis on the dock at Old Town has the best crab chowder, hands down. There are lots of cute shops in old Town as well.

Florence is a beautiful small town on a beautiful part of...

Florence is a beautiful small town on a beautiful part of the Oregon coastline. It is slow paced and relaxing. There are gorgeous drives with plenty of sites to visit, like the lighthouse and the sea lion caves. There are plenty of excellent dining choices. I found Florence every bit as enjoyable, or more so, than the more well know and advertised area at the north end of the state.

I love Florence, especially Old Town area.

I love Florence, especially Old Town area. We were fortunate that the weather was perfect -- sunny, with light breeze. And the people are so friendly. We ate at the Rambling Rose and just loved the waitress --(and all the staff), as well as good food. We come down every year to participate in the Florence Festival of Books.

Florence was a lovely surprise.

Florence was a lovely surprise. We had never stayed there before. The downtown area was a great shopping experience. There are many awesome stores. There are several grocery stores too. next time I would like to try the group dune buggy experience. This was my first time this way so it was a good exploration. I have to say it was really fun to hike the sand dunes!

I wish we could have stayed longer.

I wish we could have stayed longer. The new owners have done a great job of renovating. Would be a great place for relaxing and enjoying the scenery -- we were only stopping through, but I wish we'd had more time!

Florence was only 5 miles from the house.

Florence was only 5 miles from the house. Great restaurants, shops, beach & lake. The people in Florence are GREAT --friendly & accommodating. Love the dune buggy ride & Miniature Golf at Sandland Adventures --FUN! Sea Lion Caves just a short distance outside of Florence --WOW! Eight girlfriends including myself had a Girlfriends Week in the Florence area & enjoyed every moment.

The situation of this hotel was fantastic. Right on the shore and facing west . Every room can watch the sunset which when we were there simply beautiful. Although quite a large facility there is miles of wonderful sandy beach and dunes to explore. The rooms are well appointed and have balconies and chairs to sit and watch the scenery. It was a thing memories are made of.

Hotel beautifully located at the river with great view from cantine's windows. Clean rooms - with everything needed for one night stay. Breakfast with richer selection of food than expected - waffles and omlettes. Swimming pool not very big but enough to enjoy a bit of swimming.

Although there are few amenities, the Landmark Inn is basic, simple, and very pleasant. It was absolutely quiet at night, and the inn is in a good location - within walking distance from Old Town. This will be our go-to place when we come to Florence again.
