Having never visited Vermont before, I chose the location based on cost and convenience - it's between two other places we planned to see, so it was a good stopping place. Now that I've been there, I can say it's a lovely place in its own right, with steep hills covered in trees, a rushing river and a vibrant little town tucked in between. The meal we had at the Village Restaurant was the best, and the Buffalo Mountain Co-op was the only place we found local cheese other than the main well-known brand.
Everything was easy walking distance from the inn. Would love to stay there again.
