We stayed in Harrodsburg specifically to see my Granddaughter who is in training in the Kimme Program. We were only a few miles from The Farm she is in training with which made it very handy to spend time with her. We went there to see Shakertown/Shaker Village.
We went there to see Shakertown/Shaker Village. It's one of our very favorites to visit and tour. It has the ambience of a Colonial Williamsburg, without all of the glitz and glamour. Harrodsburg has a wonderful state park with a small Civil War museum. The "old" town always strikes me as being "antebellum," although I imagine that most of the homes which seem that way are probably (much) newer.Guest review byJ Anthony
