We have a boat there at lake chatuge and the home was the closest to the public launch , with the best views, quiet and affordable since we were there for several weeks. You can’t bring the boat up to the house however there are many storage rentals available nearby. Just beautiful

Hayesville is a wonderful small community on beautiful Lake Chatuge. The scenery is awesome. Folks are very cordial and willing to talk to strangers. Food is good mostly country style cooking but there is The Copper Door restaurant which is world class cuisine. Town is growing and getting a little bit more sophisticated. Grocery Store is more than good its great!

If you want to get away from the craziest of the world, it's the best. The views, the lakes, the rivers and mountains are beautiful. But to have things to do other enjoying the environment, there is pretty such nothing. But we needed that. Far away but close enough for short drive of 30 minutes to other larger towns.

I grew up in Hayesville and return a couple of times a year to visit family. Fires creek is a must see. Great for hikers, dog walkers, picnic, photographers and swimming. Great little local hidden spot on lake Chatuge near the Chatuge dam spillway and boat ramp. Perfect for fishing and swimming and not crowded like other spots. Nearby Hiawassee beach is a fun spot for floating and lounging. Check out the old town square, great for photos. Nearby Brasstown valley resort is THE spot if you’re looking for a relaxing spa day. Also don’t skip out on horseback trail rides offered by local stables, especially in the fall when leaves change colors.
