the breakfast was OK. They had a yogurt machine/dispenser. I didn't have any because I'm assuming it was plain and not flavored yogurt. They did have some cherry pie filling and granola to put on it. I just had a bagel and OJ. The room was nice. Bed was comfortable and each bed had 4 pillows. They allowed us to check in a little early. We had a wedding at 3:30. We checked in hotel at 2:15. I appreceiated that. We also appreciated the room had a small fridge.

    If you love the great outdoors, you'll love Marienville.

    If you love the great outdoors, you'll love Marienville. Excellent restaurants, especially Sportsman's Paradise. What a gem. Unassuming from the outside, but what a delight when you step inside. Newly remodeled and very clean. Excellent menu, fast & friendly service, and superb staff. Rode the Route 66 bike trail from Vowinckel to Lucinda. Excellent trail. Also, enjoyed riding River Road at Cook Forest from Rt 36 to Rt 899. Can't go wrong going to Cousin Basils for lunch or dinner. They have excellent food and great service. Don't forget to enjoy the hiking trails, but take some insect repellant to avoid the ticks.
