Not really a vacation destination unless you are visiting the lake. If you are there for the lake you might want to consider the lakeside cabin rentals. Joe Jack BBq was great. He-brews coffee and nearby Hueys Coffee are excellent.

A small town whose best days are behind it. The 'historic centre" is small and dull, despite music broadcast over the streets. One of two little museums is closed. Best attraction is the thrift shop.

The room was pathetic.. missing refrigerator, microwave on the floor. It was not plugged in because it would run continuously. The bathroom door wouldn't shut. The toilet paper holder fell apart There was no place to hang up clothes. Air-conditioning worked and the room was clean. For that I am grateful. The bed was hard as a rock. I payed for my 2nd night but, did not stay. Really, I deserved a refund for night 2.

This hotel is beautiful from the time you drive up and especially once you enter the lobby. The receptionist (may have been an owner) was so pleasant that she made me feel as though I had known her. The atmosphere was very warm. We discussed the decor and how it was going to be changing and both agreed that to make down the beautiful separator between the lobby and dining area would be a catastrophe. It is gorgeous. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was a great size with an awesome shower. There was an actual breakfast the next morning with kitchen staff and various flavors of coffee and teas. It was just a very pleasant stay.
