    Small town feel with little gems if you look.

    Small town feel with little gems if you look. Visit the local shops and listen to music on the antique record player, stop by the sawmill bar for good sports and fun atmosphere. Grab pizza at the Porch. Hike Pikes Peak and Effigy. Visit McGregor. Take a carriage ride to the island and hear about the history. Take a walk.

    The bluffs and state parks near Prairie du Chien are...

    The bluffs and state parks near Prairie du Chien are beautiful! We got to explore Nelson Dewey State Park and Wyalusing State park in Wisconsin, and Pike's Peak State Park across the river in Iowa. We enjoyed the restaurants and stores that we visited, and explored the downtown area too. We felt safe walking in Prairie du Chien. We also enjoyed a carriage tour, and a two-hour Mississippi River boat tour that even had live music. It was a nice little getaway for us.

    I love Prairie du Chien for the spectacular views, the fun...

    I love Prairie du Chien for the spectacular views, the fun atmosphere of the downtown and our favorite place to eat/drink, the Blackhawk!! the nostalgia at the Blackhawk is so wonderful and it is our favorite place to go there.

    We were on a site seeing adventure up the Mississippi river...

    We were on a site seeing adventure up the Mississippi river and it was a nice place to call it a night. Close to River Road and a short distance to Pikes Peak, spook cave and Breitbachs famous restaurant. (the most delicious homemade buffet ever) and the pies are out of this world! Huckleberry is right across the street and easy to grab a to go and take back to room. Good food. Our next visit we will head into WI to House on the Rock and Big Cat Rescue.

    We have never been to this area before and we discovered...

    We have never been to this area before and we discovered between Marguette Iowa & Prairie du Chien that this is a stunning destination!!!! Must visit Pikes Peak State Park & Eagle Landing Winery plus many parks in PDC As mentioned above it was hard to find places open to eat!!!

    We stayed for one night in this hotel during a traveling trip. We were very good, very spacious room, very clean and with all the comforts (bath products, hair dryer, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and iron). There is free parking available and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast is included in the price
