    Spearwood Canyon is great first thing in the morning. The Fish Hatchery is a great place to wander in the late afternoon/early evening. Nice Beer Brewery in town. The Blackberry-Chilli ale is good.

    It is a beautiful spot with great restaurants and coffee shops. Antunez and the Spearfish breakfast restaurant were excellent. The Blackbird coffee shop was delightful! There is lots of hiking and fishing available.

    We stayed 3 nights and that timing was good.

    We stayed 3 nights and that timing was good. We went to Devil’s Tower one day, we’re going to explore Deadwood another, but due to snow we explored Spearfish, and left the third day. Location is wonderful and the road to Spearfish almost guarantees a mountain goat on the highway sighting.

    Spearfish Canyon is so relaxing.

    Spearfish Canyon is so relaxing. Hiking is so abundant there and the creek is very relaxing to listen to and refreshing to ease in. We drove through the National forest and the roads were really good. If you are an outdoors person, this is a great place to visit.

    The lodge is beautiful.

    The lodge is beautiful. Only amenities are hot tub and Jacuzzi. Everything else is what you want to pay for. No house keeping unless you ask for something. You even need to ask for essentials like empty trash towels nothing is given to you without a written note before 9am. I had broken toilet. Door handle was broken. Beautiful scenery but very run down rooms.

    The people were very friendly and helpful. Not much not to like. It was a peaceful relaxing couple of days. Recommend the D C booth fish hatchery huge fish and gorgeous scenery. Starfish steak house has super sandwiches. Stay away from fiesta Guadalajara food wasn’t that great

    Fantastic place to stay in Spearfish Canyon. On the doorstep to 4 treks where you can take in 2 beautiful waterfalls and breath taking views. We even did the 76 trail which goes up 1000ft (not for the unfit!) but was so worth it! The food at the restaurant was also lovely and very tasty. All the staff were exceptional. Thank you! 😄

    We really appreciated the bar and Happy Hour. This was the only hotel on our trip that had one. The location was excellent with good restaurants within walking distance. The car stayed in the parking lot. Good access to the Freeway. Spearfish was our favourite location on this trip
