The hotel was fine enough for one night any more and I would have asked for my room to be cleaned as the bed sheets, walls, couch pillows and cushions all had stains. The floor was pretty dirty I don't think our room was swept because there was confetti and a lot of dust all over the floor. Every lamp in the room was covered in dust as well. The pool looked like it needed a makeover. I didn't want to get in because it looked old and dirty. Lisa at the front desk was very sweet and professional. I appreciated her service. My receipt only had the room charge on it not the charge for incidentals, I haven't received that money back yet and it's been 3 days so far. Was attending a funeral. It is our hometown. Area needs some help to attract big business to get money flowing so downtown can be rebuilt. Maybe an industrial park. And then use a commercial realtor to advertise. We were pleasantly surprised by such a wide variety of restaurants in the area. We choose take out from Froehlich’s Classic Corner downtown. Steubenville is home to the Catholic powerhouse, Franciscan University which is worthy of a tour in its own right. Steubenville has historical interest ( Fort Steuben etc) as well as an intriguing past.
