We stayed at the Brandywine River Hotel for one night during our road trip from Richmond to Philadelphia, and had a lovely experience. The hotel is very charming and welcoming. The front desk staff was warm, professional, and made us feel right at home. Our room was small but cozy, clean, and well-organized. Breakfast offered a wide selection of classic American options, and the dining area was spacious and comfortable. There are three nice restaurants just a short walk from the hotel, which made dinner easy and enjoyable. The surroundings are peaceful and pastoral, with a beautiful nature reserve nearby—perfect for a relaxing stroll. Overall, a delightful stay in a picturesque setting.

Close to Longwood Gardens. Which was my primary reason for travel . The hotel was in a central location to restaurants shopping and tourist attractions . Breakfast was offered. There was also a small convenience kiosk !!!

Breakfast was hot and varied, with lots of choice of eggs, meat, hash browns, oatmeal, fruit, trail bars and pastries, yogurt and more. Lots of seating area. The room was modern and very clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy and fresh. The whole hotel was fresh and clean. Didn’t use the pool or fitness centre but they looked clean and adequate. Location was great for going to Longwoods Gardens and Winterthur.

The rooms are extremely spacious and you get everything you could need. Kitchen supplies, tons of closet space, desk with comfortable chair, eating areas, etc. Great central area with plenty of parking. Solid breakfast!

    The food in the restaurant downstairs was great and the location was great for what we were looking for. No frig, microwave and slanted ceiling was a head banger for my tall husband. 3 flights up and no elevator. Charming location, but the room was cold for most of our 9 day stay. The vetting process went a little overboard. The building is a Bierhaul which we didn't know til there.
